When temperatures are extreme, homeless pet owners seek refuge in warming or cooling shelters, but they do not want to leave their pets behind. To keep people and their beloved animals together, LCHS donates pet food and supplies to a warming and cooling center operated by the United Way of Licking County and located in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (Newark, OH).
